About 352News.com
352News.com was created out of a simple but deeply held belief: local stories still matter.
After building TheColdCases.com into a nationally recognized investigative platform, founder Dustin Terry felt pulled in a different direction—back toward community, neighborhood conversations, and the everyday stories that shape life in North Central Florida.
While TheColdCases.com focuses on missing persons, cold cases, and national investigations, 352News.com exists for something closer to home.
This site is about Gainesville and the surrounding 352 area code—its people, its problems, its progress, and its moments that don’t always make national headlines but matter just as much. From local government and public safety to community voices, events, and grassroots issues, 352News.com is intentionally local-first.
Dustin launched 352News.com not because national success wasn’t enough—but because it was. That success made it clear how powerful journalism can be when it’s rooted in trust, consistency, and genuine care. He wanted to apply those same principles to a platform that serves neighbors, not algorithms.
352News.com is independent, community-driven, and built to grow with the people it covers. It’s not about clicks for the sake of clicks—it’s about relevance, accountability, and telling the stories that affect daily life in the 352.
Local news doesn’t need to be loud to be important.
It just needs to be honest—and close to home.
